Product Designer
Product, Design
Dubai - United Arab Emirates
The Role:
Ziina is looking for an Product Designer to join our team. We have laid a strong foundation upon which we’ve shipped our product. We are looking for someone to help us build engaging new features, who is obsessive about delivering high quality products and can shape our engineering organization to be the kind of place that bright young minds from across the region aspire to work for.
As our team is small, our ideal candidate is a creative thinker excited to solve hard problems to build something from the ground up. They can move quickly, clearly articulate tradeoffs, and have the judgement to own features independently. They are obsessive about delivering great, high quality products to our users. We are ambitious and excited to build big things, and we’d love to bring on someone who is as well.
As a Product Designer at Ziina you will:
Own the end-to-end design of complex product surfaces, from initial problem framing and research synthesis through to pixel-perfect specs and post-launch iteration
Work closely with product, engineering, and data to define what gets built and why, not just how it looks
Translate ambiguous, multi-constraint problems (compliance, UX, business model) into clear, elegant flows that users actually understand
Build and maintain an interaction vocabulary that scales: patterns, components, and decision logic that make the team faster over time
Raise the bar on design quality across the product, through critique, documentation, and shipping work that others want to reference
Be a voice for the user in roadmap conversations, synthesizing research, behavioral data, and your own instincts into a coherent point of view
To succeed in this role, you likely:
Have 4+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio showing work on complex, multi-state mobile flows (ideally in fintech, consumer apps, or high-usage transactional products)
Think in systems: you don't just design screens, you design the logic that connects them
Can move fluidly between strategy and craft, as comfortable in a whiteboard session defining the problem as you are in Figma pushing pixels
Write clearly and think analytically: you can articulate design decisions in a way that holds up against hard questions from engineering and leadership
Treat research as a design tool, not a separate phase: you synthesize signals quickly and move
Have a working relationship with AI tools: you use them to compress execution time, stress-test ideas, and stay focused on the hard thinking rather than the repetitive making. You're not precious about how work gets done, only about the quality of the outcome
Are obsessive about the details that users notice but can't name: timing, affordance, feedback, trust signals in a payments context
Demonstrate high integrity and a team-first mindset: you make everyone around you better
Are based in, or open to relocating to, the UAE
What would amaze us:
A sensitivity to visual craft that goes beyond product conventions: composition, typography, spatial hierarchy, and layout decisions that make screens feel considered, not just functional
An eye for interaction quality: motion, micro-interactions, and the polish that separates good from great
Fluency in information architecture and navigation design at scale
A track record of shaping product direction, not just executing it
