There are over 30M small businesses in the United States, but only a tiny fraction of them have a workplace savings program in place. As the savings gap in the country widens, it’s imperative that every worker has access to and participates in their company’s savings program, such as a 401(k) or 403(b). Unfortunately, prior to Vestwell, small businesses have been neglected and underserved, with expensive, inflexible, poorly designed offerings built on old, mainframe software. Vestwell is changing that, starting with rebuilding the core infrastructure for the modern era.

Vestwell’s north star is to be the engine behind a $30T industry, powering all payroll-deducted workplace savings programs for small-to-midsize businesses, such as 401(k), 403(b), IRA, emergency savings accounts (ESA), health savings accounts (HSA), 529 college savings, and alike.

Who are we looking for?

Vestwell is expanding and we’re excited about adding a TPA (Third-Party Administrator) Success Associate to our Institutional Plan Design team who is passionate about our mission to improve retirement and close the savings gap. At a high level, we seek a relationship builder who excels in providing the kind of service that creates raving fans. Critical thinkers who utilize lateral approaches to novel situations will thrive as we continue to build industry-leading workplace savings solutions. Ideally, you have spent 3-5 years working with TPA’s, advisors, or other institutional partners with superb organizational skills.

What will you be doing?

As the TPA Success Associate, you will be our crucial first point of contact with our TPA partners. Our mission is to be a true institutional advocate to the TPA community - and the easiest to work with. Your responsibilities will include platform onboarding and demonstrations, working with our sales and internal teams, quarterbacking TPA incoming requests and concerns, and building deeper relationships with our TPA community.


The Necessities

  • Superb Organizational skills.
  • Service first mindset with a passion for excellent customer service.
  • Critical thinking with a focus on analytical thinking and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Qualified Plan operations (401(k) / 403(b) in particular)
  • Keen attention to detail, deadlines, and plan year service needs.
  • Proactive attitude to keep the team a step ahead of the curve.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite; Google Workspace; cloud-based client portals and internal network drives.

The Extras

  • Educational material writing skills in Confluence
  • Experience with Multiple Employer Plans (MEP and PEP)
  • Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher credential from ASPPA

The expected salary range for this position is $70k-85k. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.
