Who Are We?

There are over 30M small businesses in the United States, but only a tiny fraction of them have a workplace savings program in place. As the savings gap in the country widens, it’s imperative that every worker has access to and participates in their company’s savings program, such as a 401(k) or 403(b). We believe that American workers should have easy access to an inexpensive, flexible, and intuitive solution to save for a brighter future.

Unfortunately, prior to Vestwell, small businesses have been neglected and underserved, with expensive, inflexible, poorly designed offerings built on old, mainframe software. Vestwell is changing that, starting with rebuilding the core infrastructure for the modern era.

Vestwell’s north star is to be the engine behind a $30T industry, powering all payroll-deducted workplace savings programs for small-to-midsize businesses, such as 401(k), 403(b), IRA, emergency savings accounts (ESA), health savings accounts (HSA), 529 college savings, and alike.

Vestwell’s focus is to build the most flexible, powerful workplace savings and investment platform, delivered through the hands and minds of their financial services partners with the help of payroll provider partners. The team at Vestwell makes the hard stuff look easy, by combining the expertise of financial advice with the sophistication of a technology provider.

As a result, workplace providers are able to bestow the advice and solution employers and employees have been asking for, while growing and scaling along the way. Employers get a cost-effective solution designed for their needs without all the headaches, and employees get a user-friendly portal that helps them achieve their long-term saving goals.

Why Vestwell?

With backing from leading FinTech investors, as well as a growing team of dedicated professionals of strong industry pedigree, Vestwell is at the forefront of a much-needed change in a 40-year old industry. Our team believes in the mission we’ve set out to achieve and we are working hard to get there. We’re ambitious, honest, thoughtful, and fun.

Who are we looking for?

The Marketing team at Vestwell is growing! We’re looking for our first Director of Growth Marketing. The ideal candidate is data-driven, highly collaborative, strategic, and has a strong bias for action. You are an analytical, proactive problem solver. You enjoy solving complex problems and working cross-functionally when needed to discover insights, optimize processes, and deliver ROI.

Success in the position requires problem-solving and experimentation skills, as well as a passion for customer acquisition and lifecycle marketing. This role will report to the SVP, Head of Marketing, and direct a team of full-time employees, contractors and agencies, while partnering closely with the entire marketing team to create and optimize multiple conversion points across both our workplace and state savings programs. You’ll help us fulfill our company mission of closing the savings gap.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive growth marketing strategy that boosts customer acquisition and engagement
  • Oversee performance marketing campaigns across various platforms (such as social media, search engines, email, content marketing, etc.)
  • Oversee conversion rate optimization strategies, including funnel analysis, website optimization, and landing page testing, ultimately optimizing our website to maximize the acquisition of newcomers, increase engagement, and grow conversions
  • Monitor, analyze and report on key marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness
  • Support the optimization of campaigns based on best practice to constantly drive improved outcomes with outsized impact on growth
  • Manage the lead qualification, prioritization, and nurture process of leads across their lifecycle, including website and email journeys
  • Employ strategies and testing to target and grow customer base in identified key segments/cohorts, using a range of tactics to drive from awareness to conversion
  • Conduct experimentation across all marketing channels, including performance marketing, affiliate partners, lifecycle marketing, referral, and content

Your Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of digital experience with at least 5+ years in a growth focused role, preferably in a fast-paced and high-growth environment; prior experience in a fintech start-up is a plus
  • Demonstrated past accomplishments in crafting digital marketing campaigns that yield measurable outcomes, such as increased pipeline
  • An analytical and data-driven background, with a proven ability to extract valuable insights and narratives from data into results-oriented marketing strategies
  • Proactive and strategic problem solver who thrives in ambiguity and change, with a strong bias to action and sense of curiosity and is eager to take ownership of driving growth
  • Proven track record of driving scalable, sustainable growth strategy through testing, measurement, and iteration frameworks
  • Proven expertise across digital performance marketing, acquisition, and retention programs with fluency in marketing automation systems
  • Self-starter who can operate well in a collaborative team environment and adapt effectively to changing business priorities/strategies.
