As open access networks, this infrastructure is also the essential foundation for distributed healthcare services, new wireless solutions, and resilient infrastructure including modernized water systems and responsible energy creation. Our first two projects are in Colorado Springs and Fountain, Colorado.
About this Position
Underline is seeking a goal-oriented and hands-on Residential Sales Manager to lead and develop our outside sales team in El Paso County, Colorado. In this pivotal role, you will directly manage a team of Outside Sellers and Inside Sales reps responsible for driving residential client acquisitions. You’ll be instrumental in achieving revenue targets, expanding our footprint in the community, and positioning Underline as the premier provider of fiber connectivity and related services in the region.

What you'd be doing:
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and directly manage a team of Outside and Inside Sales Representatives
- Drive day-to-day sales performance, set clear expectations, and motivate the team to exceed residential subscriber targets.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, field rides, and ongoing performance evaluations.
- Sales Execution:
- Develop and implement local sales strategies to build pipelines and increase conversion rates for residential service adoption.
- Oversee territory planning, lead generation, door-to-door sales campaigns, and event-based outreach.
- Monitor team activities, ensuring excellence in client engagement and solution selling.
- Community Engagement:
- In coordination with the local marketing team, represent Underline in the local community to build brand awareness and foster positive relationships with residents, homeowners associations, and community groups.
- Act as a subject matter expert and resource for local residential needs and trends.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and client success teams to coordinate campaigns, improve client onboarding, and resolve any escalated issues.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track individual and team KPIs (sales volume, conversion rate, prospecting activity, etc.), providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Regularly report progress and recommendations to leadership.
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure sales team compliance with company policies, training requirements, and safety protocols.
- Partner with operational teams to deliver seamless client experiences from initial contact through installation.
Experience we require:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years managing a direct report sales team (preferably outside/d2d in telecom, cable, utilities, or tech).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred, advanced degree a plus.
- Track record of exceeding residential sales targets and growing market share.
- Strong organization skills and familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools.
- Deep understanding of the local market landscape and residential client needs.
