About the Role:

Simetrik is looking for a mid-level WordPress Developer responsible for the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and evolution of Simetrik.
This person will bring technical precision and creativity to implement new templates, sections, and landing pages based on designs provided by the Design team — ensuring technical quality, performance, security, and brand consistency.
This role is part of the Marketing team and will collaborate closely with Design and SEO teams to ensure timely and seamless publication of new content and campaigns.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update WordPress versions, plugins, and the base theme.
• Develop and implement new pages, templates, and blocks within the existing development environment.
• Manage the site’s multilingual structure using WPML.
• Accurately replicate design files (Figma, Adobe Suite) into WordPress while maintaining performance and brand integrity.
• Build optimized landing pages weekly, aligned with campaigns and conversion goals.
• Oversee plugin configuration, security, backups, performance, and general technical monitoring.
• Ensure responsive and cross-browser compatibility.
• Partner with the SEO team to implement technical tags, metadata, and structure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and apply maintenance patches as needed.
• Document technical updates and version changes.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of proven experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites.
• Proficiency in:
  • PHP, HTML5, CSS3 / Sass, JavaScript / jQuery
  • ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)
  • WPML (multilingual configuration)
  • Plugin integrations and management
  • Foundation / Bootstrap frameworks
  • Git / GitHub
• Strong understanding of performance optimization and WordPress security best practices.
• Experience working with predefined designs (no visual design required).
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Jira, Zendesk, etc.).
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy when replicating designs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
• Clear communication with non-technical teams (Marketing, Design).
• Proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Accountability in meeting tight deadlines.

Performance Metrics:

• On-time delivery for launches and campaigns.
• 2–4 new multilingual pages implemented per month.
• Weekly development of high-fidelity landing pages.
• Timely response to internal technical requests or incidents.
• Continuous improvement in site performance and security (Core Web Vitals, uptime, etc.).

Work Conditions:

• Remote work, available within the CDMX time zone.
• Ongoing collaboration with Simetrik’s Marketing team.
