About the Role


We are seeking a skilled DataOps Engineer to join our team and lead the design, optimization, and monitoring of our data infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise in database administration, cloud automation, and data governance. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in building scalable, efficient, and secure data pipelines, ensuring reliable data availability for business operations and analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in DataOps, Data Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, DocumentDB, Redis, and Cassandra.
  • Advanced SQL skills for query optimization, index management, and backup/recovery processes.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools, particularly DataDog (dashboard creation and alerting).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Harness, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience implementing data governance, security, and cost optimization policies (e.g., DAMA principles).
  • Tools expertise: Snowflake, AWS, Terraform.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., RDS, Snowflake, DocumentDB, Redis, Cassandra).
  • Create and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using cloud platforms (AWS) and automation tools (Terraform).
  • Monitor and ensure the reliability of data systems using DataDog, creating dashboards and alerts to maintain observability.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, leveraging tools such as Harness, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Define and enforce data access, security, and governance policies, with a focus on Snowflake and AWS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
  • Stay updated on best practices and emerging technologies in DataOps, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
