About the role

We're seeking a UX writer to help us create a best-in-class user experience for Simetrik customers. We believe that good writing and documentation are crucial for a great product design

As a UX Writer, you will collaborate with product design teams to craft intuitive, actionable, and easy-to-understand user experiences

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a UX Writer
  
• Knowledge in the creation of copies and microcopies in a variety of formats
• Write content for multiple channels such as landing pages, emails, and clear and concise content, including UI components, notifications, and chatbots, among others
  
• Experience in the interpretation of quantitative and qualitative feedback and use of data and research to evaluate content impact
  
• Adept at handling and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data

• Experience building and using style guides and language systems across products and platforms to ensure consistency and coherence across all user touchpoints
• Excellent writing skills (clear, concise, and grammatically correct)
• The ability to help simplify user journeys by writing simple, clear, and concise instructions to guide users through transaction flows
• Excellent communication skills, empathy for the user, and the ability to get buy-in on ideas
• A learning mindset, with curiosity about our product, customers, and ways of working
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product design, customer success, and tech
• Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail, ensuring that all content is accurate, consistent, and free of errors
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality work on time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing strategies and writing content for financial products and services is a plus
• Ability to translate complex concepts into a clear and concise copy that guides users effortlessly
• In addition to Spanish, fluency in another language is a significant advantage (preferred: English and Portuguese)
• Familiarity with design thinking methodologies, principles, and methods allowing you to actively contribute to design sessions and shape user experiences collaboratively
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, ensuring inclusive and accessible content for all users
• Understanding of content localization and its impact when writing for diverse markets/languages
• Desirable knowledge of the usage of localization platforms. This is a plus, but not required
• A collaborative mindset, thriving in cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating ideas while providing constructive feedback
• Strong project management skills, including handling multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality work consistently
  

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with Designers: Work closely with the design team to iterate on in-product copy, enhance clarity, and make the product more cohesive and joyful.
• Crafting UX copy guidelines, developing further the tone and voice of the product as well as its messaging, and improving the UX writing team’s processes
• Collaborating with Product Enablement: Contribute copywriting and editing, ensuring that our product's value proposition is effectively communicated to potential customers.
• Creating clear and concise guides about our features, workflows, and getting started processes, ensuring that customers have the information they need to be successful with Simetrik from day one.
• Elevating our content strategy ensuring clarity and accessibility across all touchpoints. Your words will transform our product experiences, making them intuitive, user-friendly, and delightful
• Embracing the power of simplicity by crafting jargon-free content that effortlessly communicates complex concepts. Your words empower users to navigate our products effortlessly
• Collaborating in design thinking sessions to infuse user-centered content solutions into the heart of our design process.
• Driving content and terminology strategy across multiple product experiences. Your strategic vision will shape how users engage with our products, and you'll document and advocate for these strategies.
• Contributing to Simetrik's design system, crafting reusable and scalable content that enhances our efficiency and consistency.
• Also, you will participate in design critiques, sharing your work and giving feedback on visual and interaction design.
