About the role

As a Accounting Lead for Brazil, you'll be a key player in our team, overseeing the accounting, controlling, and reporting functions for the Brazilian region. Your role will be crucial in ensuring compliance and providing valuable insights to support strategic business decisions

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance.

• Extensive experience in accounting management, treasury, tax and controlling, with a focus on the software industry, Brazil and Latam Market
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance of brazilian principles and USGAAP
• Extensive knowledge of Brazilian Taxes and statutory requirements
  
• Experience with accounting software, such as Oracle, Netsuite or SAP, is preferred
• Demonstrated experience in managing accounting operations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Brazilian accounting department, including managing. the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Lead the entire process from accounting Operations to ERP-based accounting
• Ensure all accounting records align with our internal financial classification, accounting policies, and primarily with USGAAP and brazilian principles
• Work with accountants and advisors to properly align tax strategies in the accounting function
• Optimize treasury, billing, and accounting processes. Guarantee integrity and efficiency in all financial procedures
• Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and ensure the company's practices align with industry best practices
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Identify and assess accounting risks, proposing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
