About the role

Simetrik is looking for a skilled Product Designer to join the Product Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and delivering end-to-end customer experiences for one of Simetrik's most ambitious projects. This is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of user needs, research, and design thinking to create innovative and intuitive solutions that exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, developers, and other designers to understand customer needs, frame problems and take ideas through an end-to-end design process
• Gain insights into user needs and align them with business goals to shape the team roadmap
• Follow high-quality design practices by ensuring decisions are made with appropriate user insight and follow existing UX/UI patterns
• Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to define project scope, and break down complex problems into manageable parts
• Extract meaningful conclusions by analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data
• Be an active contributor in all stages of the product creation process
• Proactively request diverse inputs and remain humble while asking for and providing useful and constructive feedback to peers of all levels
• Raise the standard for design critique presentations and cultivate a culture of proactive feedback, and trustworthiness

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a product designer or a similar role
• Advanced in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, FigJam, Maze, and Hotjar, among others
• Proven user-centered design practice: research, design, prototyping, presentation, sharing and asking feedback, user testing, influencing key decision-making, and presenting handoffs with developers
• Able to scope their own work estimating the level of effort and time to completion
• Experience working as a member of a cross-functional multidisciplinary team
• Be a limitless iterator
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• A strong portfolio containing detailed UX case studies as well as examples of strong visual design
• Track record of designing successful SaaS-based software products

Prefer Qualifications:

• Fluent English

• Experience at a Fintech SaaS company
• Experience designing AI-powered recommendation systems or AI products or services is a plus.
