About Katsu
We are hiring into Katsu, one of our business units, a licensed microfinance bank focused on delivering modern, efficient financial services through digital channels. We aim to bridge the financial inclusion gap by providing accessible banking services to both businesses and individuals. Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results oriented Credit Sales Analyst, that will support the origination, evaluation, and management of retail and SME credit portfolios. The role provides analytical and operational support to the Credit Sales Manager, ensuring quality deal structuring, accurate documentation, and smooth credit processing. The analyst contributes to portfolio growth by supporting client engagement, preparing credit proposals, and ensuring adherence to internal risk management and compliance standards.
What you will be doing
1. Credit Analysis & Structuring
- Support the assessment of client creditworthiness through financial analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk evaluation.
- Assist in structuring credit facilities in line with Katsu’s credit policies and risk appetite.
- Prepare and review credit proposals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
2. Business Development Support
- Collaborate with the Credit Sales Manager to identify and qualify lending opportunities within the retail and SME segments.
- Conduct preliminary client assessments and prepare summary reports for management review.
- Support client onboarding, KYC documentation, and due diligence processes.
3. Relationship Management
- Maintain accurate client data and support relationship teams with periodic reviews and monitoring.
- Assist in follow-ups with clients regarding repayments, renewals, and documentation.
- Provide timely feedback to clients and ensure high-quality service delivery.
4.Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
- Track loan performance, disbursements, and collections to ensure portfolio quality.
- Generate and maintain credit performance reports, highlighting key trends and variances.
- Support early identification and escalation of potential default risks.
5.Collaboration & Process Support
- Work closely with the Risk, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure seamless loan processing.
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates.
- Provide analytical support for strategic and impact-driven lending initiatives.
Requirements
Special Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, SME lending, or financial services.
- Strong financial modeling, credit appraisal, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Good understanding of CBN regulations, KYC/AML requirements, and microfinance operations.
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
- Professional certifications (ACIB, CFA, or related) are an advantage.
