Job Description
About Katsu
1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
· Identify, source, and onboard new corporate and SME lending clients.
· Build strong client pipelines through networking, partnerships, and referrals.
· Conduct client presentations and pitch tailored credit solutions.
2. Credit Structuring & Origination
· Work with clients to understand financing needs and structure facilities that align with business goals.
· Prepare comprehensive credit applications and proposals in line with risk appetite.
· Collaborate with credit risk specialists to ensure proper evaluation, due diligence, and approval.
3. Relationship Management
· Maintain and grow strategic relationships with key clients.
· Monitor client performance, covenant compliance, and satisfaction.
· Provide after-sales support and act as a trusted advisor for client financing needs.
4. Portfolio & Revenue Growth
· Drive loan book growth within approved risk thresholds.
· Track performance of disbursed loans and support strategies for early identification of potential defaults.
· Achieve assigned financial and business growth targets.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration
· Partner with product, risk, and operations teams to deliver seamless credit solutions.
· Provide market feedback to guide product development and credit policy updates.
· Support impact-oriented lending strategies that align with Katsu’s financial inclusion mission.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
· 5–7 years of corporate/commercial lending experience in a bank, MFB, or financial institution.
· Proven track record in originating and closing credit deals.
· Strong financial analysis, credit structuring, and negotiation skills.
· Good understanding of Nigerian financial markets, corporate finance, and regulatory frameworks (CBN, NDIC, AML/KYC).
· Excellent communication, client engagement, and presentation skills.
· Professional certifications (ACIB, CFA, ACCA, or similar) are an advantage.
· Strong sales and relationship management skills.
· Business-oriented mindset with risk awareness.
· Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
· High integrity, sound judgment, and professionalism.
· Ability to work under pressure and deliver on targets.
· Collaborative, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
