Job Description
We are hiring into Loft one of our business units focused on logistics & distribution and warehousing operations across emerging markets. They are providing on-demand products across logistics, warehousing, finance, inventory management, and technology.

Job Purpose
The Business Development & Account Manager will drive business growth in our business by identifying new opportunities in key industries such as agro, chemicals, and the FMCG sector. You will be responsible for managing the entire client lifecycle—from sourcing new logistics requests and negotiating contracts to coordinating with internal teams for seamless service delivery and tracking performance. This role is pivotal in expanding our brand visibility, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and continuously enhancing our logistics services through strategic market insights and innovative marketing initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and bring in new logistics (Warehouse & Transportation) requests from key industries such as agro, chemicals, FMCG, and more.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in various industries to drive logistics demand.
- Ensure the successful fulfilment of logistics requests by coordinating with internal teams for effective service delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing with new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of client projects.
- Monitor and analyze the logistics industry to identify market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Manage and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all client accounts and report on performance regularly.
- Ensure all account-related documentation, agreements, and contracts are properly maintained and updated.
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, performance, and future needs.
- Lead business development campaigns to increase brand visibility and recognition in the logistics industry.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Develop marketing strategies and materials to effectively communicate logistics services to potential clients.
Requirements
Special Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, or account management within the Logistics sector.
- Demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities and managing client accounts in a competitive market.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to exceed sales target.
- Ability to analyse market trends and identiy new oppurtunity
