Role
The Editorial Operations Associate role will be a full-time position based in Hong Kong. You will work closely with a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to help shape and publish news content.
You will be in charge of managing a calendar of key events and updating it as news happens, rewriting news and reports from Asia financial publications, and providing the team with a daily press review.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to help shape and publish news content
- Monitor relevant news sources including stock exchanges, news publications and websites
- Manage a calendar of companies, updating it as news happens
- Provide the team with a daily press review
- Provide the team with required Hong Kong Court documents and filings
- Rewrite news and reports from Asia financial publications from time to time
- Take on one-off projects, including building and maintaining internal databases and looking for ways to improve data-gathering processes
- Help with Hong Kong office administrative duties on an adhoc basis
Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English; a working knowledge of Chinese is a must
- Ability and willingness to begin work at 7:30 a.m. HKT or 9 a.m HKT on weekdays (depending on shift)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent writing skills, time management and communication skills
- Interest in financial news and markets
- Experience with Monday.com and/or other project management programs an advantage
- Ability to work in our Hong Kong office (with working rights)
(Note: This is not a sole Reporter / News Writer role, though it is a good pathway into this field)
