The Role
The Operations Associate will work within Reorg’s Global Covenants team and be based in the New York office.
The role is ideal for someone who has graduated university and is interested in working within the financial services, legal and/or data sector. It is suitable for an enthusiastic person who has a desire to learn and thrives in a growing, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Compiling high yield bond and leveraged loan primary market data and documentation
• Fielding, tracking status and logging of client requests for covenant research and data
• Coordinating covenant team members’ activity to ensure client projects and internal initiatives are completed in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with Reorg senior legal analysts, credit analysts, and journalists in New York and London on developing editorial content and data projects
• Editing, formatting, and publishing covenant analysis reports to a global audience
• Managing strict adherence of compliance processes related to private documents and data
• Collaborating with commercial team to provide excellent client service
• Liaising with offshore data team and NY/London teams on workflow and data initiatives
Requirements:
• Graduates with degrees in business, finance, law or accounting or recent graduates in other disciplines with some experience in the financial industry, including internships
• Demonstrated ability to manage and manipulate large data sets and effectively express data in charts
• Proactive, confident and collaborative team player
• Ability to write professionally about complex legal topics
• Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Interest in financial services
• Ability to prioritise effectively among multiple tasks and work effectively to client deadlines
• Willingness to work in Reorg’s New York City office 3 out of 5 days per week, likely Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
At Reorg, we consider a range of factors in connection with compensation decisions, including experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The salary range estimate for this position is $60,000-$70,000.
The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
