The Role
Reorg is seeking a skilled and passionate Engineering Manager to join our global tech team.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams charged with building and maintaining new products and features as part of our PHP / Laravel and Python / Django-based web application architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal teams, including Data Science, Product, DevOps, Engineering to estimate epics and help with 6 - 18 month roadmap.
  • Facilitate distribution and refinement of stories from epics to the right delivery backlog(s).
  • Oversee 1 - 3 engineering sprint teams, providing coaching, cross-team dependency mapping, and ensuring consistent Agile best practices are being followed.
  • Participate in architecture planning and guide delivery teams toward incremental execution of those plans.
  • Accountable for sprint commitment delivery and communication of roadmap impact as necessary.
  • Provide mentoring, career development opportunities, and performance reviews for direct reports.

Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant experience.
  • Has managed/led high-performing engineering teams at scale.
  • Significant experience with AGILE-founded engineering methods, modern SOA/Architecture experience.
  • Proven track record of shipping well-tested quality software while meeting business and market needs.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate complicated technical topics to non-technical audiences, and ability to inspire and motivate all levels of staff.
  • Strong bias for action…must be able to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to break down a technical strategic roadmap into a focused series of wins that the team can rally around.
At Reorg, we consider a range of factors in connection with compensation decisions, including experience, skills, location, and our business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the salary range information below is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The salary range estimate for this position is $150,000-$175,000.
The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
