As our new Director you will serve as a strategic finance partner to Altus Group’s commercial leadership team, helping drive revenue growth, forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and investment decisions across the global business. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and executive stakeholders to support go-to-market strategy, optimize commercial performance, evaluate pricing and deal structures, and strengthen recurring revenue planning as Altus Group continues its evolution into a software-first organization.

This is a hybrid role based out of our New York office.

What’s in it for you

You will partner directly with senior commercial and executive leaders, including the Chief Commercial Officer and CFO, helping shape revenue strategy, forecasting, pricing decisions, and commercial performance across a global business. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence decision-making and contribute directly to how Altus Group continues to scale and evolve.

Transformation and ownership. As we continue our transformation to a SaaS based business you will play a key role in modernizing commercial finance practices, improving processes, supporting go-to-market initiatives, and creating stronger alignment across Finance, Sales, Product, and Marketing. You will have the opportunity to bring forward new ideas, strengthen commercial decision-making, and help shape how the function grows moving forward.

Exposure and growth. You will gain broad exposure across global operations, executive leadership, and strategic initiatives working in an environment that balances the scale and stability of a global public company with the agility, collaboration, and entrepreneurial mindset of a business continuing to transform and innovate. We have a strong track record of internal mobility and leadership development, offering the opportunity to expand your scope and continue growing your career over time.

As our new Director, Finance Go To Market Business Partner, you will:

  • Partner across the commercial organization. You will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Sales leadership, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders to support commercial strategy, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing decisions, and overall business performance across the global organization.
  • Lead commercial finance planning and analysis. You will drive forecasting, annual planning, quota alignment, commission analysis, expense management, and recurring revenue reporting activities, ensuring commercial objectives align with financial performance and long-term business goals.
  • Strengthen commercial decision-making. You will provide financial insights, business case analysis, and performance reporting that supports investment decisions, go-to-market initiatives, new product launches, and ongoing business growth opportunities.
  • Support pricing, deals, and revenue operations. You will participate in deal reviews, pricing approvals, and non-standard commercial arrangements while partnering with Finance, Revenue Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure alignment with operational processes and revenue recognition requirements.
  • Improve processes and visibility. You will identify opportunities to strengthen forecasting accuracy, reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment while helping evolve how the business measures and manages commercial performance.
  • Build trusted relationships across the business. You will act as a strategic advisor and collaborative partner to leaders across Finance and the commercial organization, bringing strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.

You bring:

  • The finance leadership experience. You have progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, sales finance, or go-to-market finance within a SaaS, software, technology, or recurring revenue environment. You understand how commercial organizations operate and how finance can act as a strategic partner to support growth, scalability, and performance.
  • The commercial mindset. You are comfortable partnering with Sales, Product, Marketing, and executive stakeholders, balancing financial rigor with business objectives. You can navigate pricing discussions, forecasting conversations, investment decisions, and commercial trade-offs with confidence and credibility.
  • The analytical and technical expertise. You have strong financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, along with experience working with large datasets, SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, and business performance analysis. Exposure to tools such as Salesforce, Workday, Power BI, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
  • The communication and influence skills. You can translate complex financial information into actionable business insights and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams. You are comfortable presenting to senior leaders, influencing decision-making, and navigating challenging or fast-paced conversations.
  • The process improvement mindset. You are naturally curious and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, reporting, visibility, and operational effectiveness. You are excited by transformation, open to new technologies and ways of working, and motivated by the opportunity to help modernize and evolve a growing commercial finance function.
  • The adaptability and drive. You thrive in environments where priorities evolve, new ideas emerge quickly, and collaboration across teams is essential. You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
