Reporting to the Senior Director our next Tax Consultant will join our Complex Tax & Advisory (CTAS) team. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to explore career opportunities within the dynamic field of State & Local Tax (SALT) consulting to privately held or Fortune 100 companies across many industries. Successful applicants will work in a dynamic team environment emphasizing excellence in client service, practice development, and individual skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independent data analysis that allows others to analyze results and determine scope/direction of a project.

• Once scope is defined, execution of steps to allow for project completion.

• Correspond with assessors and clients to gather information necessary for work completion.

• Research of tax code, industry, specific assets and/or jurisdiction requirements

• Assist with preparation of documents to support scope of work and jurisdiction requirements.

• Learning valuation concepts and processes to allow next steps to be anticipated and form opinions from analysis performed.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field preferred, but not required)

• Preferred experience, but not required: State and local taxes, Real estate valuation, Financial modeling

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, ability to consolidate and analyze large and complex data sets

• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to multitask while meeting tight, client-driven deadlines

• Superior writing, research, and communication skills

Salary Range: $57k - $75k per annum
