Altus Group has an immediate opening for a Cost Analyst within our Development Advisory Team in Vancouver. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in the end-to-end contract administration process for high-profile, complex construction projects from mixed-use, commercial, offices, institutional and residential projects, as well as public projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides data and input to cost, project monitoring and project management reports to support the Cost Consultants and Project Manager(s) and the project deliverables.

• Collates, coordinates, and tracks cost, schedule and financial data and ensures contract deliverables are achieved.

• Drafts cost and monitoring reports.

• Maintains all project documentation, logs, and records.

• Analyzes contractor, trade, and project costs for correct allocation of costs and payments.

• Analyzes change orders and contracts.

• Participates in design, management, and construction meetings to present reports to Clients and Owners.

• Tracks trends in cost data to allow informed decision-making from project stakeholders.

• Conducts field reviews and site visits to inspect construction progress.

Key Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of practical experience in construction contracting, surveying, estimating, or real estate consulting environment.

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Architectural, Building Science, Project Management, Construction or Civil Technology, Construction Management, or in a related field is advantageous.

• Experience working at a consulting firm (billable environment) is an asset.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive level internal and external clients

• Organizational and detailed-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office product and application of all project management technology as required for assigned projects.
