Your Impact on our Mission :

We are looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer to join our engineering team! As a software engineer at Piana, you’ll balance individual contribution with strong leadership. You’ll take ideas from inception to reality by rapidly building prototypes, iterating and releasing them. You’ll build scalable products that make the experience for customers more efficient.

The position :

• Shipping efficient and scalable code in a fast pace environment
• Collaborating with our agile team of dedicated and brilliant engineers, product owners, and designers to develop product improvements
• Owning and releasing features that directly impact customers
• Mentoring your peers, with the notion that helping others means learning and growing yourself

Our technical stack :

• Everything is coded in Typescript
• NodeJS w/ NestJS / Prisma / Jest
• NextJS w/ ReactJS / Tailwind / Storybook / Figma / Tokens studio
• REST / GraphQL
• PostgreSQL / Redis / RabbitMQ
• Auth0 / Docker / Qovery / AWS

About you :

• You have a systematic problem-solving approach with effective communication skills
• Passionate about designing robust and scalable systems
• Excited to lead projects and serve as the technical reference for other engineers
• A product-focused engineer who loves working in a collaborative and supportive environment
• 7+ years of professional backend development experience
• Experience in the startup ecosystem and building SaaS products
• Strong CS fundamentals, passion for development, writing tests, and working with git
• Strong knowledge in API design, design patterns and best practices
• You have demonstrated success in building complex system with simple, elegant, and maintainable solutions
• Comfortable with SQL and capable of writing complex queries
