We’re hiring a Technical Product Specialist in Investment Reporting focused on reporting - someone with strong analytical chops, hands-on data fluency, and financial literacy. You'll help define, validate, and scale the portfolio metrics that power next-gen investment reporting.
You’ll work across data, product, and client teams to ensure our reporting infrastructure is clean, accurate, and flexible - from the SQL that powers it to the APIs that deliver it.

We’re hiring a Technical Product Specialist in Investment Reporting focused on reporting - someone with strong analytical chops, hands-on data fluency, and financial literacy. You'll help define, validate, and scale the portfolio metrics that power next-gen investment reporting.
You’ll work across data, product, and client teams to ensure our reporting infrastructure is clean, accurate, and flexible - from the SQL that powers it to the APIs that deliver it.
What You'll Own 📈
Validate & Debug Reporting Logic
- Work hands-on with SQL, Python, and Excel plug-ins to trace performance and portfolio metrics.
- Build tools, scripts, and test cases to catch issues early and verify edge cases.
- Partner with product and engineering to define how metrics like IRR, TWR, attribution, drawdowns, or fees are calculated and exposed.
- Ensure our APIs, internal models, and external outputs stay consistent and reliable.
- Experiment with new visualizations, analytics, and report logic based on client needs.
- Support integration of ESG scoring, SFDR views, fee overlays, liquidity dashboards, etc.
- Help abstract bespoke asks into reusable components.
- Act as the technical glue between reporting design and client delivery.
- Align with client-facing teams to understand use cases and local norms.
- Work with data teams to improve data quality, traceability, and reconciliation tooling.
You’ll be deep in the engine room of Performativ’s reporting stack, collaborating with:
- Engineering & Data - to shape APIs and internal tooling
- Product & Design - to define how reporting feels and functions
- Client Success & Solutions - to understand client needs and workflows
- Clients - especially CIOs and data-savvy portfolio teams
Technical Fluency
- Strong SQL skills - comfortable joining, filtering, and debugging across performance datasets.
- Proficient in Python for scripting, validation, or data inspection.
- Familiar with APIs, Excel plug-ins, and common BI/reporting architectures.
- Bonus: Power BI, Looker, or similar stack experience.
- Strong grounding in financial math, investment logic, and performance attribution.
- CFA Level I+, CIPM or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working in product-facing roles in wealth/asset management, fund admin, or data analytics.
- Practical communicator - able to translate business needs into product requirements.
- Curious, detail-oriented, and excited by ambiguity.
- Balances robustness with speed in data systems.
