We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and eager to learn how design systems shape scalable, customer-facing applications. You will work closely with senior engineers and UX designers to help implement and maintain reusable front-end components, while gaining exposure to how design systems translate into intuitive, consistent user journeys. While front-end development will be a strong focus, you should also bring curiosity and a willingness to contribute across the full stack as needed. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is excited to grow their technical skills, collaborate with experienced mentors, and make a meaningful impact on the way customers interact with our products.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in both the design and architecture of high-quality software systems that are maintainable and scalable.
- Write clean code to develop high-functioning systems.
- Validate functionality of applications and implement automated tests to catch regressions.
- Review code and fix bugs.
- Collaborate with teammates and internal teams to improve products.
- Assist in mentoring junior members of the team to follow engineering best practices.
Requirements:
- BS+ in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with at least one high-level general-purpose language such as Python, Java, C#, Javascript, etc.
- 3-5 years of full stack development experience in the following areas:
- Expertise in at least one of the following languages: Python, Javascript, node.js.
- Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc).
- Experience in codified infrastructure code like Terraform.
- Experience with advanced SQL skills and commonly used database engines (MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
- Expertise with common code repositories (GitHub, BitBuckets, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Experience with code reviews and participating in the PR process.
- Experience in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and implementing technical solutions.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Solutions oriented attitude with a willingness to take ownership.
- Proven communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Docusaurus, Chromatic, and Storybook.
- Experience with using Dev Mode in Figma for specs.
- Scaling a themable email system.
- Maintaining and upgrading a themable design system across products.
- Strategic development of an existing design system.
Compensation: In addition to salary, Total Rewards include bonus eligibility, a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below. The role described above offers a base salary of $100,000 to $135,000 + bonus incentive eligibility. Your offer will be based on location, the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job and internal equity.
