We are currently seeking a qualified Title Specialist I to work in our Irving Operations Center. The Title Specialist I will be responsible for performing administrative duties related to title management. The Title Specialist I will assist in the follow up and research of title management. Including following up to complete the perfected title status and researching and correcting title issues, follow up on customer correspondence, reporting, and more. The purpose of this position is to support the title management teams and processes through working through various reports, completing title-related tasks, supporting our customers in answering title-related questions, and acting as a back-up to the related processes.

Specifically, you will:

  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with the company’s competencies, compliance, regulatory and information protection requirements.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with dealerships in the recovery of lien perfection documents.
  • Establish and maintain strategic and excellent relationships with our internal sales team and dealer network.
  • Review and remediate issues and exceptions.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly via written and verbal communication for the follow-up in the title management processes.
  • Perform data entry throughout various processes and ensure all documentation is maintained in an organized and secure manner.
  • Administer title processes and lien perfection follow-up as needed.
  • Field inbound and outbound communication and answer title-related questions as needed.
  • Ensure that all internal departments and external stakeholders receive prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional service, including follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain superior relationships with our dealership partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Escalate issues promptly with management and internal sales team as applicable.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of titling laws and regulations for each state. Work with title suppliers, DMV offices, and research state titling requirements, as needed.
  • Record and maintain tracking of dealer performance in regard to title maintenance.
  • Perform monthly meetings with the RSM to discuss outstanding titles.
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained in an organized and secure manner.
  • Administer other title management processes and assist the team as assigned.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls from dealers and customers as needed.
  • Create 2 or more job aids for team processes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience in vehicle title management.
  • Minimum two years of experience in preferably in auto finance or installment loan, specifically with focus in title management.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member while using critical thinking and sound judgment in decision making.
  • Experience with customer correspondence. Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail a must. Preferably within auto finance or installment loan servicing.
  • Ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and continue to complete daily or regular tasks consistently.
  • High-degree of organizational skills, sharp ability to learn quickly, and strong overall knowledge of titling.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule which may include overtime, as needed.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to multitask.
  • Excellent customer service skills; experience working directly with dealerships is a plus.
  • Customer Service attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Honest with a strong work ethic, unscheduled absences are rare, always punctual.
  • Experience with Dealertrack and/or F&I Express is a plus.
