About the Team

Gen Digital’s Digital Workplace & Enterprise AI team builds and supports the internal AI tools and agents that power our employees’ work. We design and run LLM-based assistants and agentic workflows that automate tasks and improve decisions across the company.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Summer AI Engineering Intern to help design, prototype, and improve internal AI solutions. You’ll work on agentic workflows, tool-calling agents, and copilots that integrate with our existing IT and business systems.

Responsibilities

· Build and enhance AI-powered internal tools and agents (chat assistants, workflow automations).

· Implement and refine multi-step/agentic workflows that call tools and systems.

· Integrate AI services with internal applications via APIs.

· Experiment with LLM prompts and architectures to improve quality and reliability.

· Document your work and share progress through demos and reviews.

Basic Qualifications

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

· Proficient in Python (or similar language) and comfortable working with APIs.

· Foundational understanding of machine learning or LLMs (coursework or projects).

· Familiarity with Git and standard development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience using LLM APIs or open-source models in projects.

· Exposure to agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, etc.).

· Experience integrating services via REST APIs or webhooks.

· Familiarity with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

What You’ll Gain

· Hands-on experience building real internal AI products used across Gen Digital.

· Exposure to enterprise AI architecture and best practices.

· Mentorship from experienced AI engineers and IT leaders.

· A chance to ship and present a meaningful project by the end of the internship.
