POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our newly formed, centralized DNS management team. This is a critical engineering management position that will drive the standardization and consolidation of DNS operations across the enterprise while strengthening our security posture and operational resilience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Initiatives

  • Drive standardization and consolidation of DNS management practices across Gen
  • Develop and implement improvements that enhance perimeter security and system resilience
  • Align DNS strategy with broader organizational security objectives

Security & Risk Management

  • Maintain and strengthen foundational security functions critical to the organization's security posture
  • Implement controls and monitoring to reduce risk and improve visibility
  • Collaborate with security teams to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide on-site engineering leadership presence in Kuala Lumpur aligned with Security location strategy
  • Build and develop a high-performing DNS engineering team
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Communicate technical concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

About You

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Expertise

  • 7+ years of experience in DNS operations, network engineering, or related infrastructure domains
  • 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles and perimeter defense strategies
  • Knowledge of development practices in a fast paced cloud centric environment.

Leadership & Management

  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing complex technical initiatives
  • Experience driving standardization and consolidation efforts across large organizations
  • Strong project management skills with ability to deliver on strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

Security & Operations

  • Understanding of enterprise security frameworks and risk management principles
  • Experience with high-availability infrastructure and disaster recovery planning
  • Knowledge of automation, monitoring, and operational excellence practices
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and audit processes

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a global or multi-regional organization
  • Background in cybersecurity or security operations
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or equivalent
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, Google Cloud DNS)
