Intern – IT Support (Desktop Support) (Summer)

Location: Dublin Office

Schedule: Full-time, fixed-term contract (10 weeks, starting 1st July)

Eligibility: Must be an active student (or very recently graduated) and able to work onsite in Dublin for the full duration of the internship

About the Role:

The IT Support Intern is a 10-week, hands-on internship based in our Dublin 15 office. You’ll gain practical experience in an enterprise IT environment while supporting employees across Dublin and the wider EMEA region including Prague & London.

You’ll work closely with experienced IT professionals, building foundational skills in desktop support, troubleshooting, and IT service delivery. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to start a career in IT support, infrastructure, or enterprise technology services.

This internship is not suitable for candidates seeking software engineering, programming, or development/ software engineering focused roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees in the Dublin office and broader EMEA region
  • Manage support requests via ticketing systems, collaboration platforms, and in-person support
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues across Windows and macOS environments
  • Support standard enterprise applications including Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools
  • Accurately document incidents and resolutions in line with IT service processes
  • Escalate more complex issues to senior team members when appropriate
  • Prepare and configure laptops and peripherals for new hires
  • Support onboarding, desk setup, and internal equipment transitions
  • Coordinate equipment collection and basic offboarding activities
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation
  • Provide basic support for meeting room technology, including Zoom Rooms and AV systems
  • Troubleshoot audio/video issues to support reliable hybrid meetings
  • Support conference room readiness for meetings and internal events
  • Assist with basic network connectivity checks and workstation troubleshooting under supervision
  • Support IT room organisation and hardware-related tasks as directed
  • Assist with tracking and auditing IT assets
  • Support hardware refresh initiatives and responsible e-waste processes

About You:

  • Interested in IT support, desktop support, and workplace technology
  • Loves people & will go over and beyond to help
  • Looking for a hands-on IT operations role supporting internal employees in a corporate environment
  • Comfortable helping internal staff (employees) with devices, systems, and day-to-day technology issues
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable solving technical problems
  • Curious about emerging technologies and how technology supports a global workplace

Education:

  • Studying Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline
  • Active full-time student or recently graduated

Experience:

  • Foundational knowledge of Windows and/or macOS
  • Basic understanding of networking principles (Wi‑Fi, IP addressing, connectivity fundamentals)

Skills:

  • Basic troubleshooting across hardware and software environments
  • Ability to document issues and resolutions clearly
  • Comfortable using ticketing systems and collaboration tools

  • Comfortable working onsite and supporting others in person
