About the Role: The Communications Internship offers an opportunity for current college or graduate students, or recent grads to gain valuable work experience through high-visibility, value-add projects throughout the Corporate Marketing, Brand, and Communications organization. This role will entail a variety of learning opportunities spanning Public Relations, Corporate Marketing & Brand, Internal Communications and Corporate Responsibility. Interns participate in Gen-sponsored team-building activities, and internal team meetings with executives, and end their assignment with a showcase of their projects.
Assigned projects can include but are not limited to:
Create and edit internal and external communications materials, such as internal memos and newsletters, blogs, pitches, press releases, and social content.
Support communications activities around seasonal moments, key product launches, new data discoveries, and consumer awareness campaigns.
Work with creative teams to help develop various brand and marketing assets including videos, social media graphics, brand guidance and more. Responsibilities include creative briefs, asset reviews and publishing.
Conduct media outreach and help manage media inquiries.
Work with external agencies and vendors to support work across team priorities.
Support the CR team with global Employee Engagement events including working with vendors and non-profits and planning volunteer events.
Work on ESG and sustainability reporting helping to create submissions to the leading standards bodies for Corporate Responsibility.
Qualifications:
Currently completing a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant area of study
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong writing and editing skills
High attention to detail
Be a self-starter who drives progress and results while meeting critical deadlines
Ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize deliverables
Be a true team player who works closely and cohesively with others
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
