About the Role
Engine by MoneyLion (https://engine.tech), is looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to support the development and launch of Data products and API for Engine Web Services (EWS), our enterprise platform for data, marketing and analytics products. This position is designed for a passionate individual with a profound understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, along with a track record of applying this knowledge to solve complex, real-world business problems. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will:
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and launch of market-leading products and features for Engine Web Services, our enterprise platform for data, marketing and analytics products
- Play a pivotal role in strategic planning of AI initiatives and alignment of business objectives with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Conduct and supervise advanced research in machine learning, leading innovative projects from conceptualization to implementation
- Work in complex environments, with large internal and external datasets, translating insights into tangible solutions with direct impact on business operations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers and MLOps Engineers to integrate machine learning technology into products and services
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience to influence strategic decisions and provide insights on the potential impact of emerging technologies
- Mentor Junior Data Science colleagues, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
About You
- Minimum of 4-6+ years of working experience minimum recommended
- Experience supporting complex ML projects, with a strong product sense and a value-oriented mindset
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, along with creativity and curiosity
- Strong mathematical background with deep knowledge of probability, statistics, distributions, and analysis methods.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python and SQL and familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries like Tensorflow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn and XGBoost
- Advanced knowledge in specialized areas such as deep learning, natural language processing, search and recommendation systems
- Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration abilities, capable of explaining and translating complex technical concepts into business insights
- Preferably familiar with big data technologies like AWS, MLFLow, DVC, Metaflow.
- Preferably familiar with developing and deploying machine learning models in production
- Ideal candidate has previous experience in Financial Services (but candidate with different backgrounds will also be considered)
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about the latest industry trends
