About the role

We are seeking an experienced Junior Information Information Security Analyst to join our Information Security team. This role involves supporting the assessment and mitigation of IT risks that could impact the firm's technology infrastructure and digital assets. The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of IT systems, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance frameworks relevant to the financial technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain information security processes to execute the information security program in alignment with the organization’s business goals.
  • Conduct detailed IT risk assessments, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities to the firm's digital assets and financial data. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards such as SOX, PCI-DSS, NIST and others relevant to the fintech industry. Prepare compliance reports and assist in regulatory audits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive IT risk policies and procedures to support the firm’s risk management strategy.
  • Assist in IT audits from both internal and external auditors. Help prepare necessary documentation and ensure that recommendations from audits are implemented.
  • Work closely with various departments to communicate risk management policies and protocols. Contribute to training initiatives to enhance staff awareness regarding IT risks and the importance of compliance.
  • Regularly report to senior management on the status of IT risk management efforts, highlighting any potential areas of concern and the effectiveness of implemented controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or any related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP) would be advantageous.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in IT audit, risk management, or compliance, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networks, databases, cloud services, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Proactive and diligent with a keen attention to detail for security risk identification.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills for security risk analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Documentation skills for organizational policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Proficiency with audit management tools and software.
