Our Commercial Team is essential in bringing Mondu's customer-first philosophy to life. The team's mission is to serve customers and partners through the whole value chain journey - offering the right product portfolio, securing a fast onboarding, and smooth technical integration. Additionally, our team makes sure that our customers stay satisfied and ensures sustainable cooperation in the long run. We're looking for a Senior Sales Manager to join the sales team. As the central pivotal point between our Sales Development Representatives (SDR) and Customer Success Team, you, our Senior Sales Manager, will ensure the successful conversion of opportunities into raving brand evangelists!

  • Your primary mission is to take full responsibility for the opportunity management lifecycle, transforming leads into engaged customers. We need you to be a hunter!
  • Our team of SDRs acquires cold leads. Building a trusting bond with our SDR team, mentoring and guiding them in their journey, will be incremental in achieving ambitious goals.
  • Signed merchants' onboarding is cared for by our Customer Success Team. Increasing the lifetime value and potential up-sell opportunities will depend directly on your collaboration with the team.
  • Your virtual and in-person communication with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders will be incremental in building a solid network of partners and supporters around Mondu.
  • Sales is a numbers game! You will drive your work and goals based on pre-defined KPIs, ensuring the sales team meets its goals.
  • You will be the Monduneer in the UK market, functioning as the incremental point of contact and the gatekeeper for high-value customers to enter and remain Mondu's trusted long-term clients.

We've defined a few metrics to help you assess if you want to join us. We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous professional experience, extending across multiple years, in B2B enterprise sales and opportunity management will help you hit the ground running.
  • A proven successful track record in sales with enterprise-level customers, preferably in the payments space, with realistic expectations for the types of customers you'll need to convert to Mondu merchants.
  • Solid experience with CRM tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar, as well as experience with additional tools like Confluence, Jira, etc. pp. The abovementioned experience will reduce friction in getting you fully operational within our thorough onboarding phase.
  • A humble, hard-working, people-first, and team-focused goal-driven attitude goes a long way. Leave your ego at the door, prioritise your team's wins, and reap what you sow!
  • In this role, you will be primarily acting in the UK region, which means that impeccable English skills are a hard requirement for a full professional proficiency level. It will enable you to communicate with the complete UK region decision-makers.
  • Last but not least: excellent communication, both written and verbal, being your full self with the team, and being a trusted professional partner with our customers, will ensure your long-lasting success in the company.

Roger De'Ath, a seasoned professional in the field of SaaS sales, assumed the position of Commercial Director UK at Mondu in April 2023. With a remarkable background that includes a decade-long tenure at Google, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and nurturing new sales teams, Roger's expertise has been honed through his involvement with renowned companies such as GoCardless and Truelayer, both prominent players in the fast-growing fintech industry. As the Managing Director at Mondu, Roger successfully spearheaded the launch of the UK team, achieving impressive market traction within a remarkably short period. Notably, Roger embraces the philosophy of "servant leadership," where his primary focus lies in supporting and empowering his team to foster growth and continuous improvement.
