Position Overview:
As the Sales Associate at Matta, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the sales of chemicals, raw materials, ingredients, and commodities across diverse industries such as Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care, Pharmaceuticals, Industrial Chemicals, Paint and Construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively promote Matta’s range of chemicals, raw materials, and ingredients to prospective and existing customers.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets in alignment with departmental goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements and recommend appropriate chemical and raw material solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of sale in line with Matta's policies and profitability objectives.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely responses and resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Vendor Management, Trade, Logistics, Finance) to ensure seamless order fulfillment and service delivery.
- Regularly follow up with clients on orders, deliveries, and feedback to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Provide insights and reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market conditions.
- Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline updates using CRM tools.
- Work closely with the Vendor Management team to ensure product availability and supply consistency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in B2B chemical sales or raw materials distribution.
- Experience in any of the following sectors is a strong advantage: Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care, Pharmaceuticals, Paint & Coatings, or Industrial Chemicals.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills with proven ability to close deals.
- Solid understanding of chemical applications and product use across various industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, result-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
