Position Overview:
The Vendor Engagement Manager will lead the vendor team's effort to meet the commercial plans/business requirements as it pertains to acquiring, managing, negotiating, and partnering with vendors across the various markets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers.
- Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
- Seek long term partnerships across the world with leading CRIC manufacturers and traders
- Negotiate future contracts for sourcing to match and expand the demand side
- Work closely with the legal department to ensure contract terms are favorable to the organization.
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and ongoing to ensure ongoing feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Keep a growing pool of vendors and products (Locally and internationally)
- Manage the Stock master list for effective pricing and cost management
- Ensure timely stock pickup/availability
- Keep a growing list of vendors to be onboarded (pipeline).
- Strategize and direct market activations for vendor campaigns and engagement to expand their market where the company has operations presence.
- Liaise with the Technology and marketing team on Campaigns for Vendor stock sell-out.
- Product and process SOP development with the Operations team to ensure proper management of stock delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably Chemistry background or considerable related field).
- Relevant industry certification; Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, etc.
- At least seven (7) Years’ experience.
- Five (5) years experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent and proven project management skills
- Good numerical skills.
- A person of high integrity.
- Must be a good team-player.
- Must be flexible.
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Negotiation and value selling
- Conflict Resolution and Entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to review technological trends in the local and global sector.
