The Role: We’re seeking a Head of Product Marketing, who will play a crucial leadership role in driving the marketing strategy for our suite of financial technology products. You will lead a team of product marketers, ensuring that all products are positioned effectively in the market, with clear messaging that resonates with our target audiences. Your leadership will guide the team in executing marketing campaigns that drive product adoption, customer engagement, and overall business growth.

You will oversee the strategic positioning, messaging, and market adoption of Flutterwave’s product portfolio. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure the successful launch and growth of products. You will also play a critical role in understanding customer needs, competitive positioning, and market trends to drive marketing initiatives that support business objectives.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be Like

  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Identify target market segments and develop strategies to reach them effectively.
  • Develop clear, compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates Flutterwave’s offerings in the market.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product marketers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Lead the go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, including coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure readiness.
  • Define and track success metrics for product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Create and deliver sales enablement tools, such as product collateral, presentations, and competitive analysis, to support the Sales team.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Work with the Product Management team to ensure customer insights are incorporated into the product roadmap.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, adoption, and retention.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to leverage online channels for product promotion.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Product, Sales, and Customer Success, to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization to advocate for customer-centric product development.

Required competency and skillet to be a waver

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product marketing, with a track record of successful leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of the fintech industry and its competitive landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that drive business results.
  • Proven track record of leading successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
