**BASE SALARY: $99,000 - $145,000 USD // $126,000 - $146,000 CAD
Position Overview
This role is responsible for creating, iterating and evolving experience for high customer satisfaction. The Product Designer is an established performer with strong communication skills who proactively builds and sustains relationships and delivers measurable customer and business value.
Job Duties
With minimal direction from more senior members of the team:
- Largely independently owns working with Marketing and Product Marketing to craft embroker.com into an industry leading website experience that holistically and seamlessly connects our website with Embroker’s insurance applications and customer online account.
- Enhances and defines the website’s visual design, layout, UX copy, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Lead remote usability tests, user interviews, competitive intelligence, journey mapping, and analysis of conversion funnels.
- Following the design system guidelines, creates prototypes, graphics, wireframes, user flows, high fidelity mockups and delightful experiences. Suggest improvements to the design system.
- Works collaboratively with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Designers, business stakeholders, and customers to understand experience and business needs.
- Executes within the team’s best practice design process. Starting to develop new design processes. Starting to use facilitation skills to engage cross-functional teams.
- Key contributor to multiple shipped products leading to measurable improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience as a UX, product or interaction designer
- Required: Advanced fluency in Figma
- Required: Portfolios without passwords included in resume will not be considered. Portfolio showcasing at least 3 examples of playing a significant role in designing websites. Portfolio must also include some examples of UX copy you personally wrote and evidence of experience with meaningful interaction design and information architecture.
- Required: Experience working with a Marketing or Product Marketing Team to measurably increase the performance of a website
- Demonstrates clear verbal, visual, and written communication at all levels of the organization
- Have passion for the problem, and empathy for the users and an insatiable desire to help users succeed.
- Embrace the swift changes and ambiguity in start-up growth phases.
- Ability to work cross culturally on a global team
- Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to perform at a high-level in a remote work environment
