Responsibilities – I want to and can do that!

• Define and drive the technical strategy and vision in alignment with the company’s goals.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team to achieve excellence.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Head of Product & Engineering to oversee the end-to-end development of cryptocurrency and blockchain products, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with product management, propositions, risk ops and other cross-functional teams to define product requirements and roadmaps.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and create professional development plans for team members.
• Scale the engineering team as the company grows, ensuring effective team structure and processes.
• Establish and enforce best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of all engineering outputs.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into the development process where appropriate.
• Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Make strategic decisions on technology investments to drive innovation and growth.

Requirements – I've already done that or have that!

• Solid experience in engineering leadership, ideally a focus on blockchain or cryptocurrency.
• Proven track record of leading successful engineering teams.
• Proficiency in the JavaScript stack (Node, Typescript etc).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous delivery.
• Proven experience in managing the full product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Ability to manage and optimise a technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices.
• Passion for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends.
• Proven ability to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
