About the Role
We’re looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to shape how CapIntel recognizes, reports, and optimizes revenue as we scale our SaaS business. You’ll own the end-to-end revenue process, from contract review to board-ready reporting, ensuring our financial data is accurate, actionable, and audit-ready. This role partners closely with Sales, RevOps, FP&A, and Customer Success to translate business activity into clear financial outcomes, support new product launches, and strengthen our revenue foundation for growth.
What You’ll Do
- Own revenue recognition under Canadian accounting standards (ASPE) for subscription, usage-based, and professional services revenue
- Review customer contracts and order forms to identify performance obligations, variable consideration, and revenue timing
- Prepare and review monthly revenue entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis
- Partner with RevOps and FP&A to align revenue across actuals, forecasts, and SaaS metrics (ARR, CARR, deferred revenue)
- Lead revenue workflows in Maxio and supporting tools, ensuring clean handoffs from Sales to RevOps to Finance
- Improve documentation, controls, and audit trails around revenue processes; support system implementations or enhancements
- Prepare revenue-related schedules for reviews, tax filings, and support external auditors with technical analysis and data requests
- Manage commodity tax compliance and filings (GST/HST/QST), and support cross-border tax considerations in collaboration with external advisors
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Revenue Accounting Manager or similar role in a SaaS environment, with hands-on ownership of revenue recognition and reporting
- Deep expertise with Maxio and revenue automation tools, including workflow design and process optimization
- Strong understanding of SaaS revenue metrics (ARR, CARR, deferred revenue), O2C, AR, and billing processes
- Demonstrated experience managing commodity tax compliance (GST/HST/QST); exposure to US compliance and cross-border tax issues is an asset
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and automation tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills; able to translate complex financial data for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
The Interview Process
- Round 1: 30-minute video interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
- Round 2: 60-minute video interview with the Senior Accounting Manager
- Round 3: 45-minute video interview with a member of the Finance team
- Round 4: 60-minute presentation to a panel of cross-functional stakeholders
