Antler India, India's largest pre-seed fund, officially began operations in December 2020. We are sector agnostic and plan to deploy $150m in India over the next 3 years. We have already invested in 40+ startups in India (across Fintech, SaaS, Web3, Consumer Tech, Emerging Technologies) and expect to scale this up to 100 startups in the next 18 - 24 months.

We have built a strong core team and are now hiring an exceptionally talented self-starter to join as an Investment Associate and help us find and back the best founders.

The Role:

The Investment Associate will have full end-to-end involvement in the investment process. This includes identifying solid founders and companies, analyse businesses, vet ideas and valuations, assist in founder interviews, help form an investment thesis and help execute the investment process.

While your primary focus will be India, you will be part of a larger global team with access to work with top founders and companies in the Antler portfolio.

This is a full-time role based in Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with the best founders in the Pre-Seed stage in India (both inbounds & outbounds)

  • Conduct due-diligence and provide insights and analysis to the Investment team, Partners and the Investment Committee as required

  • Research and create detailed theses on targeted sectors or themes of interest to Antler

  • Portfolio assistance and evaluate potential follow-ons and exits

  • Selectively spend time assisting on investments from Antler Elevate, our emerging fund

  • Build and maintain relationships with scouts, communities, industry experts, other investors and ecosystem partners

Skill-sets and competencies:

  • 2-4 years of experience in at least one or a combination of the below

    • a VC or PE investment fund

    • high impact role in a start-up, preferably in tech or product or strategy

    • top-tier investment banking firm or management consulting

  • Strong analytical skills - having the ability to learn quickly and arrive at analytical decisions across a wide range of sectors and themes

  • Superb communication, writing and presentation skills

  • Early-stage startup experience and/or ex-founders strongly preferred

  • Strong ability to build relationships across the startup / tech ecosystem

The Process

  1. You will receive an automated acknowledgement of your application.

  2. We will review your application and resume, post which we will send you a case study. You are expected to submit a written response in the allotted time.

  3. After the case study, we will schedule a conversation with you. This will be your first screening interview.

  4. After the screening interview, we will be scheduling a second and final round of interviews with our partners.
