About Antler

Antler backs the world’s most ambitious founders from the very start. Founded on the belief that innovation is the key to building a better future, we partner with people across six continents to launch and scale high-potential startups that address meaningful opportunities and challenges. Knowing that exceptional founders can come from anywhere with any background, we have offices in 30 cities, including New York, London, Berlin, Stockholm, Bangalore, Singapore, Seoul, and Sydney.

Our global community supports founders on deep business model validation, initial capital, expansion support, and follow-on funding. Fueled by a personal passion that goes beyond traditional investing, we have helped create and invested in more than 1,500 startups across a wide range of industries and technologies.

A better future won’t happen automatically—the world needs talented, determined, and resilient people to build it. Antler team members are part of an ambitious global community dedicated to helping the most driven founders move the world forward

The Role

As an Associate in Antler’s Elevate fund, you will work closely with the senior members of the investing team to source and evaluate startups for investment. You will also assist the team in supporting those portfolio companies post-investment.

We are looking for self-motivated individuals with a CS background who can help us scale our current processes. An ideal candidate has a strong interest or network in the startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you will:

  • Analyze business plans, markets, industries and technology trends, with particular focus on deep-tech, SaaS, and technical product opportunities
  • Conduct technical due diligence on engineering teams, product architectures, and technology stacks
  • Create and present deep dives on emerging technologies, technical market dynamics, and industry trends to the broader Global fund team
  • Source and evaluate investment opportunities across Antler locations around the world but with a focus in the Americas
  • Lead diligence on potential investments using both quantitative methods (financial modeling, data analysis, technical assessments) and qualitative evaluation (founder assessment, market positioning, competitive analysis)
  • Assess the technical feasibility and scalability of product roadmaps and technology solutions
  • Support senior investment team members in management of existing portfolio companies, including technical advisory and product strategy discussions
  • Independently manage and prioritize communications and processes on behalf of our senior investment team members. This includes both internal processes as well as engagements with founders, CTOs, engineers, and other stakeholders in the ecosystem

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent technical experience)
  • 1-3 years of full-time work experience in fast-paced environments, ideally combining technical and business roles (e.g., software development followed by consulting, product management, or strategy)
  • Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in software development, product engineering, or technical project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge technical and business contexts - can speak credibly with engineers while understanding commercial implications
  • Comfortable performing both technical analysis (system architecture evaluation, technical feasibility assessments) and business analytics (market sizing, retention analysis, LTV/CAC computations, returns analysis)
  • Deep understanding of technology trends, software development lifecycle, and how technical decisions impact business outcomes
  • Strong interest in or experience with the startup ecosystem, particularly in technical product companies
  • Strong networker with the ability to build relationships across both technical and business communities in the early-stage ecosystem throughout the United States
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and assess technical innovation
